NORCAT's Basics of Supervision programs are specifically designed to integrate with existing workplace health and safety programs to provide project managers, front-line supervisors and superintendents with the skills required to lead workers on the job site while safely accomplishing tasks.

Basics of Supervision

Supervisors hold primary responsibility for productivity, quality and safety in the workplace. NORCAT's Basics of Supervision training program is designed to build strong and competent supervisors.

The Basics of Supervision program is comprised of the following 6 modules:

  • Legislation – Act and Regulations
  • Hazard Management
  • Project Management
  • Incident Investigation
  • Emergency Management
  • Managing Employees & Communication Skills – leadership

After Training: The employer is responsible to continue to educate the worker in company/site-specific processes, procedures, and responsibilities. This program is also available in distance learning format using Zoom (12 hours over 2 sessions). Please call for details.

OHS Construction Leadership

OHS Construction Leadership for Employers

NORCAT’s OHS Construction Leadership for Employers training program is offered to employers and is customizable to reference employer’s current OHS management system.

The OHS Construction Leadership for Employers training program is comprised of the following 4 modules:

  • Legislation – Act and Regulations, and company’s OHS program
  • Hazard identification
  • Incident Management -Preparing for Emergencies
  • OHS Leadership and Effective Communication
