Rigging is the job of making the necessary preparations for lifting or moving a load safely. This program will teach the skills required to know the strength and capabilities of many tools, materials and devices that are available for rigging work. In addition, how to properly apply this information and use the tools and the equipment safely. A hands on application will be completed using various sling and configurations in transferring a load.

NORCAT’s Elevated Work Platforms training program is designed to promote the inspection, safe use and understanding of hazards associated with elevated work platforms. This program covers a variety of equipment including scissor lifts (SkyJack, Mobile Elevating Platforms) and aerial lifts (Genie Booms, Telescopic Booms).
This comprehensive program is delivered in two parts in order to provide the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical, hands-on training to facilitate compliance for workers using aerial lift equipment, and includes an assessment of both.
Valid Working at Heights Certificate, or Fall-Arrest Certificate depending on field/job requirements

NORCAT's Lift Truck training program is designed to be delivered in two parts which consists of a theoretical and a practical component. The online theoretical component provides the theory a lift truck operator requires prior to practical training. Following the online theoretical training, a classroom based practical hands on component is held with workers to promote the safe use, inspection, operation and an understanding of hazards associated with the use of a Lift Truck.

The Suspended Access Equipment programs meets the training requirements outlined in the current Construction Projects regulation (O. Reg. 213/91, s. 138.1 (3)).
Trainees will learn the requirements for roof plans and work plans, as well as the systems of support when working from a suspended work platform: the fall arrest system; and the suspended work platform system. Instruction and direction in the daily inspection and safe use of the fall arrest system and suspended work platform system.
Trainees will be instructed in the reading and use a roof plan and work plan, assemble a suspended work platform system in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, and inspect the assembled system.
